A court hearing the 2013 Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing case on Saturday set June 29 for its order on the issue of framing of charges in the matter.

Additional Sessions Judge Neena Bansal Krishna deferred the delivering order on the issue of framing of charges in the case for June 29.

Delhi Police on July 30, 2013, filed a chargesheet in the IPL spot-fixing case, alleging that absconding don Dawood Ibrahim and his aide Chhota Shakeel were behind the scam.

The formal set of charges, running into 6,000 pages, named cricketers S. Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan, among others, in the scam that took place in the sixth season of the IPL held in 2013.

The accused were charged with the offences of cheating and conspiracy under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Dawood and Shakeel were declared proclaimed offenders in the case after police completed the property attachment proceedings.
