Skipper David Warner cracked a half-century, before Ashish Reddy launched a late assault as Sunrisers Hyderabad posted 150 for six against Kings XI Punjab in their Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium here on Monday.

Put into bat, the visitors lost opener Shikhar Dhawan (1) in the second over, while Hanuma Vihari (9) was dismissed soon after.

But Warner (58; 41b, 10x4, 1x6) kept on scoring freely, hitting the ball to all parts of the park, before he was caught by David Miller off the bowling of spinner Axar Patel. The visitors were then 76/3 in 9.5 overs.

Moises Henriques (30) and Naman Ojha held on to take the score past the 120 mark but the latter was dismissed for 28 in the 17th over.

Ravi Bopara lasted for two balls without bothering the scorer, but late fireworks by Ashish Reddy (22 of 8 balls) helped Sunrisers reach 150. He struck two consecutive sixes in the last over off Sandeep Sharma.

For Kings XI, Axar Patel finished with impressive figures of 4-0-25-2, Johnson was expensive but picked two wickets.
