Iran n-talks extended to July 1, 2015

Iran and the world powers agreed Monday to extend the deadline of nuclear talks to July 1 next year in an attempt to secure a comprehensive deal over Tehran's controversial nuclear programme, media reported.

Based on the agreement, the interim Geneva deal sealed Nov 24, 2013, will also be extended by July 1, 2015, a member of the Iranian nuclear negotiating team said, adding that the talks will resume in the near future during the extended period, Xinhua reported citing the official IRNA news agency reported, quoting.

No details about the monetary gains of Iran or removal of sanctions against the country during this period were released, the state IRIB TV said.

 

The reports did not reveal new Iranian commitments to transparency measures over its nuclear programme.
