Israeli air force carried out a number of airstrikes in the Gaza Strip Sunday, destroying military sites of Palestinian military groups, security sources said.
The air raids came a few hours after militants in Gaza fired two rockets on southern Israel, Xinhua reported.
Israeli jet fighters targeted four military installations of Islamic Hamas movement and Islamic Jihad groups in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khanyounis, the sources said.
The sites were severely damaged, but no casualties were reported.
Meanwhile, Israeli security sources said the air raids came in response to the ongoing Palestinian rocket attacks that targeted southern Israeli cities and towns.
