An Israeli army officer was killed when his tank overturned in the Golan Heights, a military spokesperson said on Thursday.
Three other soldiers were injured in the accident that occurred overnight during "routine training", Xinhua news agency quoted the spokesperson as saying.
The dead soldier was identified as Sergeant Ido Ben-Ari, a 20-year-old tank commander in the 401st Brigade.
Military authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
Israel seized the Golan Heights from Syria in the 1967 Six-Day War, and annexed it in 1981, a move not recognised internationally.
