J&K removes IAS officer after video on him goes viral

Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday removed an IAS officer from his assignment as a District Magistrate after a video showing him in objectionable position with a women went viral.

"Pending inquiry into his conduct, Neeraj Kumar, District Development Commissioner Udhampur, is attached in the office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu," an order issued by the state's General Administration Department said.

The senior Indian Administrative Service officer was shown in an objectionable position with two women in a video that went viral on social media sites.

Before his present assignment, Neeraj Kumar also served as the District Magistrate in south Kashmir's Pulwama district.
