Jagran film fest finale to be held in Mumbai

The finale of the fourth edition of the Jagran Film Festival (JFF) will be held in Mumbai Sep 24-29. The festival has travelled to 15 cities across seven states, and it will now conclude here.

It started in Delhi July 5, and travelled to places like Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra, Meerut, Dehradun, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Indore and Bhopal.

JFF showcases a mix of feature films, short films as well as documentaries. It will also have some international films which will be showcased in Asia for the first time, said a statement.

The festival has films in various categories like World Panorama, Indian Showcase (in competition), Jagran Shorts (international and national in competition), Jagran Classics - top 20 films of Indian Cinema, homage to late filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh and Berlinale Shorts. The country focus is on South Korea.

 

The festival will open with Israeli film "Water", under the World Panorama section. The section will showcase more than 20 films of various international languages.

The festival will also have a section for regional films under the Indian Showcase segment. Films made in various Indian regional languages such as Punjabi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi, Hindi, Bengali and many more, will be showcased here.
