Pitching for full statehood for the national capital, Delhi's Home Minister Satyendar Jain on Friday said that police was being used as a tool to trouble AAP legislators and party members.
Addressing the Delhi Assembly, Jain said that law and order was deteriorating in the city while the police's only focus was to target Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators and party leaders.
"Out of 67 MLAs police framed our 12 legislators in fake cases which shows that they are being used as a tool (by the central government) to trouble our legislators and the party members. Crimes especially against women are increasing in the national capital. This will stop only when Delhi is given full statehood," Jain said while concluding a short duration discussion on 'The alleged arbitrary use of Delhi Police against MLAs of the ruling party' in Delhi assembly.
He also accused the BJP-led central government of not letting the elected AAP government function in Delhi and said they were framing the MLAs in fake cases with proper planning.
"They (Central government) is not letting us work as they create hindrance in every work we do. It is like this country is being run by British colonial laws," Jain said.
He further said that despite all the troubles his government was doing good work in various sectors including Health and Education.

"We would keep performing good work as no one is going to be afraid of their (central government) such tactics," Jain added.
