Jamaican athletes have started their preparations in Japan for the World Championships.
The championships will be held in Chinese capital Beijing from August 22-30.
The training camp is being held in Tottori Prefecture, in southern Japan, where the official team will depart for Beijing on August 18, CMC reported.
Jamaica Administrative Athletics Association president Warren Blake earlier indicated that the Japanese are picking up the cost of the training camp.
The Jamaica team, to be named by Monday, is expected to include defending world sprint champions Usain Bolt and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce among others.
