Students at the Jamia Millia Islamia's A.J.K. Mass Communication Research Centre have curated a documentary film festival, Ainaa, which opened Friday. Six films will be shown.
The movies have been conceptualized, shot, edited and directed by final year students of the centre's Master of Arts Convergent Journalism.
A reflection on society, each documentary hopes to convey a message. "Ainaa holds a mirror to society, both to the good and the bad around us," a Jamia statement said.
The documentaries to be shown are "This Filthy Life" (18 minutes), "Kaansutra" (15 mts), "Please Mind The Gap" (20 mts), "Head In The Stars" (19 mts), "What's Wrong With My Islam?" (23 mts) and "Uncle Bond" (22 minutes).
