Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel has criticised Belgian midfielder Adnan Januzaj, saying that he did not have the correct desire or the attitude during his short stint with the German giants.
The 20-year-old joined Dortmund in August on loan from Manchester United, but his season long deal was cut short by the latter as coach Louis van Gaal wanted him back in the squad. Januzaj failed to start in any league encounter.
"It is a pity he did not show the desire and attitude you need to progress at his age," Tuchel was quoted as saying by goal.com on Saturday.
"My feeling was that he never was completely with us, that a part of him always stayed in Manchester and he compared everything here with United. We were not able to help him to shake that off."
Van Gaal has reportedly asked Januzaj to prove his fitness with United's Under-21 squad before coming back into the first team.
