Former union minister and expelled BJP leader Jaswant Singh continued to remain critical and in coma Wednesday, doctors said.

A statement issued by the Army Hospital (Research and Referral) said Jaswant Singh was "still in coma. On ventilatory support. Vitals stable. Condition continues to be grave".

"...transient hypotension" (low blood pressure) and his condition was "slightly worse than yesterday (Tuesday)", added the statement.

The leader was running mild fever in the morning.

The 76-year-old former cabinet minister was admitted to the hospital Aug 8 in a critical condition with a head injury.

He was brought to the hospital by his family members after they found him lying on the floor in an unconscious state.
