Jats to get reservation; bill will be brought in next session of Haryana assembly: BJP leader

The Jat community will get reservation in jobs and a bill will be brought in the next session of the Haryana assembly in this regard, a senior BJP leader said on Sunday.

BJP leader Anil Jain, who is in charge of party affairs in Haryana, said this here after a meeting of central ministers, BJP leaders and leaders of the Jat community and Khaps with Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

The Jat agitation for reservation of jobs has crippled the road and rail network through Haryana and destined to neighbouring states, including Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Chandigarh.

Haryana remains in grip of violence and the agitation has resulted in the death of ten and 150 have been injured.
