Jet Airways to deploy Boeing 777 on Mumbai-Amsterdam route

Airline major Jet Airways on Tuesday said it will fly the largest aircraft in its fleet -- the Boeing 777-300 ER -- on the Mumbai-Amsterdam route with effect from October 30 next.

According to the airline, this deployment will meet the growing demand on this key sector, as it is the only passenger carrier flying daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and Amsterdam.

"Our daily non-stop service connecting India's commercial capital Mumbai and the key European hub Amsterdam has received excellent response since its launch," said Gaurang Shetty, Whole-time Director, Jet Airways.

"By deploying the 777-300ER aircraft, Jet Airways will be able to cater to the growing demand on this important sector at a time when trade and investment between India and Europe and North America is witnessing a healthy growth."

 

Jet Airways' Boeing 777 offers a three-class configuration, which comprises of eight first class suites, 30 seats in premiere and 308 in economy class.

The airline had commenced daily flights from Mumbai to Amsterdam on March 27, 2016.

Currently, the airline operates flights to 68 domestic and international destinations with a fleet of 116 aircraft.
