Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday appeared in two Jamshedpur courts over the alleged violation of the model code of conduct during the 2009 parliamentary and assembly elections, sources said.
Das appeared in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate G.K. Tiwary in connection with the alleged violation of the code of conduct during the 2009 Lok Sabha polls.
The case pertains to the hoisting of Bharatiya Janata Party flag and banners without the district administration's permission.
The case will next be heard on August 29.
The Chief Minister also appeared in another court in Jamshedpur in a similar case pertaining the 2009 assembly polls.
