John Kerry to visit China

US Secretary of State John Kerry will visit China Friday and Saturday, Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman said Monday.

Kerry would visit at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, said Hua Chunying, foreign ministry spokeswoman at a press briefing, reported Xinhua.

The two sides would discuss bilateral ties and other global issues, she said.

Kerry will visit China during his six-day Asia tour, which starts Thursday.

According to the US State Department, Kerry will also visit South Korea, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates.
