Visiting Jordanian Interior Minister Salameh Hammad called on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here on Thursday, an official statement said.
During the meeting, Rajnath Singh said that India attaches great importance to its ties with Jordan as both countries have "similar views and perceptions on the regional and international issues", it said.
He also said that it is a matter of pride that, last year, India and Jordan commemorated the 65th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations.
Singh also said that the bilateral trade between India and Jordan was impressive, but still there was a room for improvement.
He also cited the existing joint venture project on fertilisers expressed hope that more come up in the future, to meet the demands of phosphoric acid and rock phosphates.
The two ministers also discussed the issues related to threat of terrorism and agreed that this issue was of serious concern to all.
