A court here on Saturday extended the judicial remand of four accused in the Udhampur terror attack by 14 days.
A National Investigation Agency (NIA) team headed by Senior Superintendent of Police Atul Goel produced Muhammad Naveed, Showkat Ahmad, Khursheed Ahmad and Sabzar Ahmad in the court of 3rd additional district and sessions judge, who further remanded the four in judicial custody.
Two BSF troopers were killed and 11 others injured when two terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) attacked their bus in Udhampur on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway on August 5.
While his accomplice Noman was killed in the ensuing gunfight with the BSF, Naveed escaped to a nearby village where villagers overpowered him and handed him over to police.
Three Kashmiris were later arrested on leads provided by Naveed to his interrogators.
These three - Showkat, Khursheed and Sabzar - were accused of facilitating the attack by ferrying the two Pakistani LeT terrorists to Udhampur along with weapons.
