Juventus star Alvaro Morata is expected to rejoin Spanish football giants Real Madrid this summer, according to the Italian club's general manager Beppe Marotta.

The striker ended a six-year spell with Real in 2014 to join Juventus.

"Real Madrid will activate their buy-back clause for Alvaro Morata, we're just waiting for the written offer and we'll see what happens after that," Marotta was quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.com on Tuesday.

Morata, 23, has started both of Spain's matches at the European Championship so far and scored twice in Friday's 3-0 win against Turkey.

"We'll evaluate what to do, but I think the chances of Morata remaining with us are very small at the moment."

Marotta also said that there are speculations that French midfielder Paul Pogba might be sold.

"As for Pogba, we haven't received any offer, and he is a fundamental player for the present and the future of Juventus. Mino Raiola is an excellent agent with whom we have a great relationship, but Pogba's growth is still ongoing and he'd do well to stay with us," the club's general manager said.

"Right now we're not going to open discussions," he concluded.
