Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday congratulated P.V. Sindhu for creating history by winning the silver medal in the women's badminton final at the Rio Olympics.
"It's a silver lining for India as its daughters like Sindhu and Sakshi Malik who won the bronze medal for wrestling on Wednesday at Rio, have performed so well and brought laurels to the country at the Olympics," Siddaramaiah said in a statement here.
Wishing Sindhu and Sakshi for greater success in their respective games, the Chief Minister said the duo had done the country proud and their achievements would be a great inspiration to the youth of the country.
