With an aim to save the Yamuna river from further pollution and provide relief to residents of Burari area in north Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday laid the foundation stone of a Rs 44-crore sewage line project.

The project will benefit Burari residents since sewage flows directly into the river from many colonies due to absence of proper sewerage.

The 75-km sewage line will lead to a sewage treatment plant in Burari and is expected to be completed in 30 months.
