Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay on Tuesday demanded an apology from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a "coward".

"The chief minister must apologize... The Bharatiya Janata Party will not tolerate such language. The entire Delhi Secretariat has become a hub of corruption," Upadhyay said.

Vijendra Gupta, one of the BJP's three legislators, accused Kejriwal of attempting to save an officer charged with corruption.

He alleged that a deal had taken place between Kejriwal and corrupt bureaucrats.

The BJP's comments followed a CBI raid on the secretary to Kejriwal, with the latter saying that his office was raided.
