Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday sought Delhi Police's cooperation in implementing the odd-even formula in the city.

The Aam Aadmi Party leader said, while unveiling the odd-even scheme, that there "should not be politics over this matter. Police should cooperate in implementing the odd-even plan successfully in the city".

The AAP government and Delhi Police have been at loggerheads over several issues. Delhi Police does not report to Kejriwal but Lt.Gov. Najeeb Jung.

"During the last Car Free day in the city, the traffic police had stopped public vehicles like buses from entering the designated stretch which led to a traffic jam," Kejriwal said.
