In a bid to woo investors by doing away with red-tapism, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced to apply soon self certification methodology which would cease inspection by government officials for any new industry in the national capital.

"We fully trust our citizens and industry. Hence would soon apply self certification methodology for any new industry in Delhi for various necessary approvals, with no inspector visiting for inspection," Kejriwal said at the 4th Invest North organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).He said an average citizen has to apply to government offices and get attestation done for about 14 services which lead to corruption.

"We would change the procedures and just an affidavit would be required from applicants stating that his particulars are true," he said.Assuring of a corruption-free environment and all possible support, Kejriwal called upon industrialists to become partners in developing Delhi as service and tourism hub, and invest in sectors like education and health.

"I invite you all to invest in the education and health sector which is our highest priority. We are fully committed to provide all possible support in enhancing education and health care facilities in Delhi," the chief minister said.

He said members of the CII could contribute to education and health sectors through corporate social responsibility activities.

Kejriwal urged industrialists to invest in building schools in the national capital.

"The Delhi government will be making 25 schools this year. Invest and donate for this project," he said.

He informed that a special purpose vehicle would be put on work to clean river Yamuna.

"Cleaning Yamuna is also our priority. We will invest in the beautification of the river and make it clean," he said.
