Former Queens Park Rangers defender Bruno Perone will turn out for Kerala Blasters in the second edition of the Indian Super League.
The Kochi based outfit took to social media platform Twitter on Tuesday to announce the signing of the 28-year-old Brazilian.
"DRUMROLL Can we have a huge cheer for our Kerala Blasters Centre Back, Bruno Caldini Perone?" Kerala Blasters wrote on their Twitter handle.
The towering central defender, who turned out for QPR in the English Premier League in the 2011-12 season, is the first overseas defender to sign for the Sachin Tendulkar co-owned ISL franchisee this year.
Perone has also played for Brazilian clubs Corinthians Paranaense and Figueirense FC apart from Xerez in Spain. Last season, he represented Brazilllian Novorizontino, who finished second in the Paulista A2, the second division state league in Sao Paolo.
The other three foreigners in the Blasters roster include midfielders Victor 'Pulga' Herrero (Spain) and Joao Coimbra (Portugal) and forward Chris Dagnall (England).
