Key managerial-level change at Vistara

IANS New Delhi

Full service passenger carrier Vistara on Thursday announced a key managerial-level change.

According to the company, Bhaskar Bhat, managing director of Titan Company, has taken over as its new chairman.

Bhat succeeds Prasad Menon, who retired from the Tata Singapore International Airlines (SIA) known by its brand name Vistara on January 13, 2016. Bhat joined the board of the company with effect from Thursday.

"Vistara is founded on common values of the Tata group and Singapore International Airlines (SIA)," Bhat said on assuming the role of the airlines' chairman.

"My focus will be on ensuring that Vistara continues to deliver the legendary service excellence and hospitality that the Tata group and SIA are known for."

 

Bhat has been the managing director of the Titan Company since 2002 and founding member of Titan Industries.

He led Titan to become the largest watch manufacturer in India and the fifth largest in the world.
