A four-year-old boy, who was abducted on Tuesday night, was rescued on Wednesday and a 21-year-old man arrested for the kidnapping, police said.

The accused -- identified as Mohit, a resident of Kakruwa village in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh -- was arrested from the Delhi Junction railway station.

Police claimed that the case was solved within 90 minutes of it being reported.

Santosh Kumar, a resident of Lal Bagh in Azadpur, informed police on Tuesday night that his minor son was kidnapped by an unknown person.

He said he received a ransom call on his mobile phone demanding Rs.60,000 for releasing his son.

Soon after getting information, the kidnapper's location was traced to the Delhi Junction railway station.

A police team rushed to the station along with the boy's father, and during a search operation at platform No.10, found the child with the kidnapper.

During interrogation, Mohit revealed that he had worked in the past as a waiter with the boy's father. He said he was in desperate need of money and, therefore, kidnapped the child, police said.
