Kiplagat wins first gold of Moscow Worlds

Kenya's Edna Ngeringwony Kiplagat claimed the first gold medal at the 2013 IAAF World Championship here on Saturday when she won the women's marathon in 2:25.44.

The 33-year-old Kiplagat, who led home a clean Kenyan podium sweep in the event's last edition Daegu, made history as the first woman ever to land back-to-back marathon titles in World Championships.
