Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, feels ace designer Kiran Uttam Ghosh, whose latest collection personifies her ideology with designs that are dramatic and beautifully embellished but not over the top.

"Have you ever been to a wedding and felt 'Oh my god! Isn't every one looking like everyone else?' I often have. To me it feels like a sea of over embellished gota sequin and more gota. Call me old-fashioned or bored, but I miss the freshness and high drama of simplicity."

"As a designer, it is my job to simplify. My collection presents strong evening wear. The ensembles are dramatic, with a lot of detail, bling yet not over embellished. It's my answer to understated trousseau chic," Ghosh said in a statement.

The collection comprises of wedding and evening wears in fabrics that vary from georgette, chiffon to crepe and jersey.

Colours like deep rich wine red, sapphire, indigo, gold, coral, emerald and deep purple with metallic hues like silver, and copper highlight the silhouettes.

The designer feels that the collection is ideal for all those women who want to look glamorous without going over the top.

"The collection is targeted to every woman in India who has a wedding to attend or be a part of a wedding, regardless of age. Our clients range from a new born to grandmothers," she told IANS.
