Shooting for "Krrish 3" was not a smooth ride for Hrithik Roshan, who had to battle with a double slipped disc and the doctors advised him not to do the movie.
Seeing Hrithik's condition, his father and director Rakesh Roshan planned to shelve it.
"The hard work for 'Krrish' actually went into resurrecting my back because when 'Krrish' was about to start, I had a double slip disc. So it was all about recovering from that to be able to do the film," the 39-year-old said here Tuesday at the announcement of "Kid Krrish", an animation series inspired by "Krrish" franchise.
"Doctors had advised me against doing the film and my papa was also told that this would be very dangerous for him to do. Papa wanted to shelve the film," he added.
Releasing Nov 4, "Krrish 3" is a superhero flick and it is third in the franchise. It also stars Priyanka Chopra in the female lead.

But the 39-year-old's determination made "Krrish 3" happens.
"But I was determined and I asked for three months. I was sure I would get strong again and I would be able to do the film. So physical training for the film was about recuperating from my bad back," Hrithik said.
If that was not enough, he recently had a brain injury on the sets of "Bang Bang" and had to undergo a minor surgery, which led to a delay in the shoot of "Bang Bang."
