Singer Kunal Ganjawala says he has started writing his own music instead of waiting for the phone to ring for new projects. And he is loving it!
"I'm writing a lot of music besides singing, because times have changed and you have to write your music and sing it. I'm doing a lot of live performances also, but I'm most excited about writing my own music and not waiting for the phone to ring," Ganjawala said at the music launch of the film "Love Shagun".
He feels the music industry in India is currently in a wonderful phase wherein talent is coming from everywhere.
"... An Ankit (Tiwari) came out of nowhere, an Arijit (Singh) came out of there, Armaan (Malik) came from nowhere... So it's fantastic," he added.
In "Love Shagun", Ganjawala -- known for songs like "Channa vey" and "Bheege honth tere" -- has sung the song "Saathiya".

"Love Shagun" is a film with relatively new actors like Anuj Sachdeva and Nidhi Subbaiah.
Ganjawala said: "When I sang for 'Saathiya', Vivek Oberoi was new, when I did 'Bheege Honth...', Mallika Sherawat and Emraan Hashmi were new. You never know... I do every song, whether it is for Sanjay Bhansali, Mukesh Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan or Akshay Kumar. We do it with the love that 'this is my song'."
