Kuwait formed a new cabinet on Monday, led by Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, after the former cabinet's resignation a few weeks ago.
Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah at Sief Palace on Monday, and the Prime Minister presented a list of new ministers, Xinhua news agency reported.
The emir then issued a decree for the new cabinet.
Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was appointed as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
Anas Khaled Al-Saleh was appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf as Minister of Finance and Hind Sabeeh Barrak Al-Sabeeh as Minister of Social Affairs and Labour.
Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah had submitted the resignation of his cabinet in October after the parliament's no-confidence motion.
