Czech Petra Kvitova lifted the Zhuhai Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Elite trophy after overcoming Ukrainian Elina Svitolina 6-4, 6-2 here on Sunday.
Kvitova suffered a slow start and was broken in the fourth game. With 1-4 down, she quickly found the rhythm and swept five games in a row, reports Xinhua.
The Czech dominated the second set by breaking Svitolina three times.
"I played her in Wuhan and I was broken down there as well from the beginning of the match. I just probably knew that it's still not the end, so I was just trying to play point by point," Kvitova said after the match.
