Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Monday met Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi to discuss electoral alliance in Bihar, Congress sources said.

The sources said it was Lalu Prasad's second meeting with Gandhi this month.

"A secular alliance is likely in Bihar but the announcement would take some time," a Congress leader told IANS.

He said the alliance was likely to involve the RJD, Congress, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and the Nationalist Congress Party.

Party sources said Lalu Prasad's meeting with Rahul Gandhi came a day after senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh met LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan.

Though a section of the Congress was inclined towards alliance with the ruling Janata Dal-United in Bihar, the view has increasingly been veering towards an alliance with the RJD, the sources said.
