Fresh landslides triggered by continuous rains in Ramban district disrupted traffic flow on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Saturday, authorities said.
Authorities allowed one-way traffic on the nearly 300-km highway on Saturday after fresh landslides in Maroog area.
"Efforts to restore normal traffic flow on the route are on. Till then, traffic has been halted on the Jammu-Srinagar Highway", officials said here.
Over 50-km stretch of the highway, especially in Ramban district, is highly prone to landslides.
For the landlocked Valley, the strategic Jammu-Srinagar Highway is the lifeline for essential supplies.
