Domestic handset-maker Lava International on Friday launched a the new Iris X1 Selfie smartphone priced at Rs.6,777.
The new smartphone will come with a 4.5-inch IPS display. It has a 5-megapixel selfie camera which comes loaded with a front-LED flash and a 8-megapixel rear camera.
"Keeping in line with the current trend and insights gathered from our young audience, we are excited to announce the launch of Iris X1 selfie, specially meant for selfie enthusiasts," said Lava's senior vice-president and product Navin Chawla.
"We realise that there is a need for such devices and with our R&D efforts, this offering has a perfect combination of hardware and software driven front camera capabilities," he added.
According to Lava, the phone will come equipped with several features like gestures, voice capture and tap capture that will make taking photographs easy and fun.
The Iris X1 Selfie will run on a 1.3Ghz Mediatek quad-core processor and a 1GB RAM. The phone will have 8GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB. Also, it will run on Android Lollipop 5.1 and draw power from a 2,000 mAH battery.
