Lava launches new budget smartphone Iris Atom 2

Domestic handset-maker Lava on Tuesday expanded its budget smartphones range by launching the Iris Atom 2 at a price of Rs.4,949.

The handset comes with a 4.5-inch display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. The rear camera is a five-megapixel shooter equipped with panoramic capture modes and HDR while the front camera is a video graphics array (VGA) unit.

The Iris Atom 2 sports a 512 MB RAM unit and draws juice from a 1,750 mAh Li-ion battery. The device runs on Android Kitkat v4.4, and is upgradable to v5.1 Lollipop and also includes smart gesture control features.

 

In terms of storage, the smartphone comes with 8GB internal memory and is further expandable up to 32GB.
