Lava launches Pixel V2 smartphone

Domestic handset-maker Lava on Monday launched the Pixel V2 smartphone at a price of Rs.10,750.

According to the company, the new phone which comes with a 13-megapixel f2.0 rear camera with dual LED flash and an eight-megapixel f2.4 'selfie' camera with LED flash, is designed to deliver unrivalled camera capabilities.

"The smartphone segment in India is growing exponentially, driven primarily by youth. With smartphones becoming an indispensable part of their lives, camera becomes so much more important," said Lava International's senior vice-president and head of products Navin Chawla.

"The youth today want to capture special moments in their life and share them instantly in their social circle. To enable them to capture those moments perfectly, we are delighted to announce the second variant in the Pixel Series with the best in class camera hardware & software features," he added.

 

The new device, which will support dual 4G LTE SIM slots, will sport a five-inch scratch resistant HD display with Dragon trail glass protection. The smartphone will be powered by a 64 bit MediaTek quad-core processor coupled with 2GB DDR3 RAM.

The device will have 16 GB of internal storage expandable up to 32 GB and will run Star OS 2.0 based on Android Lollipop 5.1.

The Pixel V2 also packs a strong 2,500mAh Li-Po battery.
