One of the greatest basketball players of the modern era, LeBron James said he was surprised about Cleveland Cavaliers' decision to sack coach Dave Blatt, and denied any involvement in it.
LeBron said on Saturday that he was "surprised and caught off guard" by the club's move. The Cavaliers fired the coach despite the fact Blatt led the team to top the Eastern Conference at 30-11. Tyronn Lue will take over the team, reports Xinhua.
"This was one choice I didn't need to ask anyone about. I know what something that's not right looks like," Cavaliers general manager David Griffin said.
Griffin said it was "unfair" to imply LeBron had any role in the choice.
