Bayer Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt's father has rubbished a media report that the Germany footballer has agreed terms to join Bayern Muncih.

German media house Bild had reported last week that Bayern have reached an agreement with Brandt for a transfer fee of around $25 million.

The 20-year-old's current contract expires in 2019 but he would be available in the summer of 2018 for 12.5 million euros ($13.3 million) due to a release clause.

"It is fake news that Julian has agreed terms with Bayern," Julian's father Jurgen Brandt told Kicker magazine on Monday.

"Julian has never been in the situation where he had to -- or wanted to -- make a decision on his future."

English club Liverpool also reportedly intend to sign Brandt.
