Loafers minus socks lead to fungal foot infection?

In case you are planning to follow the latest trend of wearing loafers without socks, then you should give it a second thought. According to a new research, the growing trend is leading to foot fungal infection.

Recent statistics have shown that sales of products to remedy the embarrassing problems have shot up by over ten percent, reports dailymail.co.uk.

The sweat from the skin gets directly in touch with the shoe leather, which becomes a breeding place for bacteria. This, combined with high moisture levels, creates a bad smell and in many cases triggers the itchy fungal infection known as athlete's foot.
