The Lok Sabha was on Monday adjourned for the day after passage of the Transgenders Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill 2016 amid din as the opposition members created pandemonium in support of their various demands, including a JPC probe into Rafale fighter jets deal.

After a washout of the first week's business, the House witnessed some legislative business on Monday even as it saw three adjournments due to the ruckus created by the Congress, AIADMK and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) members.

Earlier in the day, the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2018, commonly known as Triple Talaq Bill, was introduced in the lower House.

As soon as the transgenders rights' bill was passed, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the House for the day.

The AIADMK members created ruckus over the Cauvery water issue, while the TDP demanded special status for Andhra Pradesh. The Congress members protested demanding a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) probe into the Rafale jets deal and accused the government of misleading the Supreme Court on the issue.

The House earlier witnessed two adjournments in the pre-lunch session.
