The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day on Thursday following noisy exchanges between the opposition and the treasury benches over the AgustaWestland helicopter deal.
As the house met, opposition members were on their feet. Members of the Bharariya Janata Party waved a newspaper clipping and also raised their voices.
Speaker Sumitra Mahajan warned members against displaying papers in the house before adjourning the house till 12 noon. The house met again only to see more din.
Soon after the house reassembled both the treasury and opposition members indulged in sloganeering forcing Mahajan to adjourn the house for the day.
