The Lok Sabha on Wednesday was adjourned till noon after the Congress-led opposition created a ruckus in the house on BJP leaders' links with former IPL chief Lalit Modi.
As soon as the house assembled for the day, the opposition shouted slogans against the NDA government on the Modi issue and the Vyapam recruitment scam in Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled Madhya Pradesh.
Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge and Veerappa Moily moved an adjournment motion in the house on the Lalit Modi issue.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had earlier said a senior Congress leader had pressed her hard to give diplomatic passport to a scam accused Congress leader.
"A senior congress leader was pressing me hard to give diplomatic passport to the coal scam accused Santosh Bagrodia," Swaraj Swaraj tweeted, hours before the proceedings began on the second day of parliament's monsoon session.
"I will disclose the name of the leader on the floor of the house," she said in another tweet.
