A parliamentary delegation led by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan left for Russia on Monday, an official said.
During the four-day visit, the delegation will hold discussions with their Russian counterparts and Mahajan will address the State Duma.
The delegation includes Members of Parliament Virendra Kumar, Mohammed Salim, Hema Malini, Nalin Kumar Kateel and C.P. Narayan.
"The Lok Sabha Speaker will address the State Duma on July 12 (Wednesday). The delegation will also hold extensive discussions with their Russian Federation counterpart in the India-Russia Parliamentary Commission on July 11 (Tuesday). The delegation will also visit Saint Petersburg," the Lok Sabha Secretariat said in a release.
The delegation will also meet V.V. Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma, and V.I. Matvienko, Chairperson of the Federation Council.
