A man set on fire his lover whose engagement was fixed with another man in Jharkhand Tuesday, police said. The woman is battling for life after the burns.
Aadam set Hasina on fire in Dhanbad district, around 240 km from Ranchi, police said.
Aadam reached Hasina's house in the afternoon in Barari coke village and asked her to elope with him but as she refused to do so, he poured kerosene on her and set her on fire, police said.
Aadam is absconding, police said.
