The city reeled under cold conditions for the second day Thursday. Poor visibility due to fog made the commute tough for office goers and school children.
The maximum temperature here Wednesday was 15.3 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 9.7 degrees.
The Met Office has forecast a sunny day post-noon and said the winter chill will end in a few days.
Met Office director J.P. Gupta told IANS the fog would persist for a while. Adding to the winter chill was 100 percent humidity.
Over two dozen trains were running late in the Northern Railway and North Eastern Railway, while short distance passenger trains were cancelled.
