The Madhya Pradesh government is introducing 'home stay' scheme to facilitate board and lodging facilities at reasonable prices for tourists visiting the state from across India and abroad, an official said on Friday.
The scheme also aims to enable owners of suitable residential accommodation in the state to earn by associating with the tourism and hospitality sector, the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation said in a release.
The scheme would be available to owners of apartments, cottages and bungalows who are interested in extending the facilities of board and lodging to the visiting tourists.
They would be required to attend workshops to be organised by the corporation from November 22 till December 13, the release added.
