The theme of Republic Day celebrations in Madhya Pradesh would be based on the campaign 'Namami Devi Narmade', officials here said.
In an administrative meeting held on Tuesday, it was decided that the state-level Republic Day celebrations would be based on the state government's campaign 'Namami Devi Narmade', which aims at stopping the defilement of the Narmada river.
Officials also decided that if any district prepares a tableau based on the campaign, it will also be included in the state-level festival.
The next meeting on the matter is scheduled to be held on December 26.
Director General of Noronha Academy of Administration Kanchan Jain, Department of Culture Director Rajesh Mishra, Principal Secretary of Department of Culture Manoj Shrivastava, Additional Police Director General (Vishesh Sashatra Bal) K.N. Tiwari, and other officials were present at the meeting.
