The Madhya Pradesh government has initiated discussions with the Kochi-based Startup Village in Kerala, seeking its support and expertise in setting up an incubation facility in the state.
A state delegation led by M. Selvendran, managing director, Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd., held talks with the Startup Village officials here.
"We are very impressed by the functioning of the Startup Village and exploring the possibility of setting up a similar facility in Madhya Pradesh. We plan to seek support from the management and the technical team of the village to devise a strategy to build a similar incubator," said Selvendran.
The delegation members checked the facilities being offered to start-ups. They also discussed the Kerala government's student entrepreneurship policy which is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship culture among youths.
The members of the delegation also learnt about the functioning and other activities of the incubator.
"It is truly a recognition for our efforts over the last 30 months in creating an ecosystem which supports young entrepreneurs. We are in the process of bringing out a blueprint on creation of innovative ecosystem that can be adopted by the states across India," Startup Village chairman Sanjay Vijayakumar said.
